Amalfi Coast: Path of the Gods, Positano
I made a day trip to the Amalfi coast from Naples, hiking the Path of the Gods and visiting Positano and Sorrento. The bus to the start of the trail in Bomerano was hard to figure out. It is the one heading to Agerola. I took it from this bus stop, buying the ticket here for €4,60.
Waiting for the bus
The bus journey takes about 1h10m.

Then the hike begins. It’s about 7km.
The path is busy. It’s especially noticeable in difficult places, where people accumulate.
In the end of the hike you go down ~1800 steps.
Positano
The whole trail took me 2h20m to complete and reach Positano. It was wonderful! The last stretch is along a road, which is busy and inconveniently shared with cars. The same thing was in the town itself, what I didn’t like at all.

Improvised parking
Improvised church
Positano square
The town was very crowded. Overrated.

Sorrento
On my way back to Naples, I visited Sorrento. I waited 1h30m for a very overcrowded bus that still had space. Not sure if Sorrento is worth visiting. Then I took a train to Naples.
