Turin’s architecture is not like in other Italian cities. The city centre has lots of porticoes and arcs. Comparing to Milan it seems less glamorous.

Turin used to be a big industrious city. FIAT is an acronym for “Fabbrica Italiana Automobili di Torino”. Now instead of factories there are parks and shopping centres. Turin is like an Italian Detroit. And I like it.

Industrial porticoes

Turin has a very big street market around Porta Palazzo selling all sorts of stuff.

Italy has numerous shrines. For the first time I saw one inside a butcher’s market.

Everyone in Turin knows that they live in a magical city.

The city was designed using constellations as a blueprint. Unfortunately, the stars visibility greatly diminished because of light pollution. But the streets at night still remind us of the original plan.
