Birżebbuġa

Like most towns in Malta, Birżebbuġa is mostly yellow.

It has a lovely harbour.

Mysterious cart ruts are found in different parts of Malta, which are supposedly man-made (wiki). The fact that some of them lead to the sea, like here, or to cliff edges, suggests that they are prehistoric (~4,000 years ago). It is unclear what civilization utlized them and what kind of heavy goods were transported.

St. Peter's Pool

After a rather unpleasant walk from Marsaxlokk, I reached some beautiful places.

Peaceful

St Peter’s Pool is a small bay.

I went for a swim. I would guess places like this get ridiculously busy in the summer. Maybe I enjoy Malta so much because I visit it out of season when it’s peaceful and not too hot.

Blue water

Between this place and Marsaxlokk, there’s a big factory.

This was my last evening in Malta and I headed to the airport. It was my second time in Malta and I would love to visit again.
